Impact: Rahma’s Computer Dream

When Rahma Darwesh transferred to D.E.B. Secondary School in Webuye in 2023, she was excited to pursue her passion for computer studies. Unfortunately, she quickly learned that the school did not have enough desktop computers — making it impossible to continue her favorite subject.

Feeling discouraged, Rahma turned to her grandmother — the chairperson of the Irene Muronji Foundation — and shared her struggle. Moved by her granddaughter’s story, the Foundation stepped in. The local secretary collaborated with the school, and together they made a plan.

Thanks to this collaboration, Rahma’s school received a fully-equipped desktop computer, donated by the Foundation. With this single computer, Rahma’s dream was revived.

In 2025, Rahma represented her school at the national level during a science congress competition — showcasing her work in computer science and proving what’s possible when potential meets opportunity.
